On the branches of the
country almond, Fall is moving slowly
Only two yellow
leaves left of the country almond tree
One already fell
with the blowing wind yesterday
Gone with the wind
to the mountain village far away
The leaf, as if sensing
the sadness I am feeling
Flowing with the
wind, it sails itself through the window railing
Holding tenderly
the leaf in both hands so I can feel
Alas! How lonesome
and sad to be the last final leaf!
As alone and lonely
as this body of mine
Having to quietly
endure those stormy days with the passing of time …
